What a difference eight years makes….
Eight years ago today we elected then Senator Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States; making him the first black President-elect. It was such a proud day. All I could think about was everyone who fought for this. Never would I have thought that even in my lifetime there would’ve been a black president. I could see a white woman before a black person period being elected to office. They said he was inexperienced and unqualified to be president. Well…there’s facts and receipts that prove that was lie. He will go down as one of the most successful presidents of the United States. Even trying to sabotage his presidency and vote against everything he tries to pass. Those are their words not mine. Sorry to the racist pieces of shit and self-hating, ignorant black people who think that he is a horrible man and a bad president. It’s just not true. People can’t even give a true reason as to why they don’t like him or why they feel he’s a bad president. But we know why.
The funny thing to me is that President Obama has been blamed for brining racism “back” (like it ever left) and dividing this country. Well…in a way he did. As a matter of fact, yes…he definitely did. He did this by being elected as president of this sorry ass country and exposing the hate that had been suppressed within certain people for years. Slowly, the obvious hate and racism was starting to come out. Crazy…and all it took was a black man to run for and be elected president to bring this out. We know his lack of qualifications weren’t the problem from the beginning. It was his race. The thought of a black first lady; an intelligent, fun and classy black woman at that. The thought of a black family in the white house is terrifying. The thought of all of those white people having a black boss scared the mess out of them. The thought of a country built on lies and hate; so strong in white power and domination. The thought of losing whatever power they believed in their hearts that they had, it was now slipping away. This still scares them to this day.
So now let’s fast forward eight years later to this wonderful year of the lord, 2016 where there’s a fool named Donald Trump who can very well become president of the United States. But wait, I’m confused? He’s inexperienced and unqualified; I mean isn’t that what they said about President Obama? He’s filled with scandal. Horrible ones at that. And he’s the one who’s openly brought out the hate and racism to where these fools feel like they have a leader who allows them to be pieces of shit. He feeds into this fear of white superiority being threatened and the minorities are dangerous and out to take over. This is really happening! In 2016 this is a “presidential candidates” platform that’s being widely accepted by many. The only thing that matters to these people isn’t qualifications or policies…you know the things that one would think would be important to picking a president of the United States. The only qualification he has is being a white man in a racist ass country like this. This is nothing but a white man with a plan of white power and dominance. To top it off, he’s running against a woman which makes it even more scary for some. A woman leading the country…never! She has the qualifications, experience and laid out brilliant and realistic policies. But this doesn’t matter in the land of the free and home of the brave, where’s there’s justice for all. Yeah…okay! But I’ve already talked about that in my previous post:
The unspoken yet obvious sexism and misogyny…Election 2016
I just wanted to do this post to show how everything can change in just eight years. It may seem like a long time ago, but it really wasn’t that long ago when you think about it. Everything is totally different now. Just making another plea to please, if you haven’t yet…please, please, please vote! Nobody, not even those who believe that they will benefit from a Trump presidency will benefit in any way. Truth be told…Trump won’t even benefit from Trump presidency. Now that’s the real tea!
