My thoughts on this Kavanaugh BS…

Isn’t this face just so comforting to know that it will be on the United States Supreme Court ruling on extremely important and possibly life-changing laws of the land? So refreshing isn’t it? Now that this piece of trash is officially a Supreme Court Justice (hopefully not for long), I thought that I would share my feelings on this whole ridiculous, sad and scary situation. I hadn’t really shared too many of my thoughts or said too much of how I really feel about it because even for this day and time, with this administration, and everything else going on that makes absolutely no sense…I wasn’t surprised by any of it, but as usual I was disappointed. This has become the norm. I’m not going to go into the background of the entire situation, because it’s just way too much. When the orange devil announced that his nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court I for one was highly disgusted, but once again not surprised. I knew that there was some shadiness around him in offices that he had worked in and some questionable activities that he had been associated with. He was definitely the type of conservative Trump’s base wanted more than anything. It was a shock to me hearing that he had spoken out in support of such things as: LGBTQ rights, women’s right to choose and other “semi-liberal views” that are in favor of a majority of this country. Well…he did call Roe vs. Wade “settled law.”   No wait…I’ve never heard any of these centralist views about him before…these statements came from Senator Susan Collins. She seems to be the only person that I’ve heard say these things about him. This dude is conservative…very conservative. He’s been apart of a particular circle in Washington D.C. that’s very elite. What I did know is that he has stated that he’s against a sitting President being under investigation. Hmmmmm…so that made it obvious as to why Trump and the Republican’s wanted him so bad; mainly Trump. Yes…he wants to please his base so that he can protect his votes, but the most obvious reason is that the orange devil desires to protect himself and his interest. Everything he does is calculated and to benefit Trump! Now my question is: If he did make those statements that Susan Collins said in her speech the other day about him being in support of rights for those that conservatives are trying to take away those same rights were all a show to get to where he is now? Was it just an act to get what he wanted? After this hearing that is unforgettable, it now appears that way. His goal, like many of the circuit court judges in D.C. is to make it to the Supreme Court. After the hearing…he proved that he doesn’t have those views at all. Now I know…it was all a show and yes we are completely screwed.

Let’s fast forward to hearing day with the Senate Judiciary Committee where he and Dr. Christine Blasey-Ford (who’s accusing him of sexual assault from 32 years ago) testified under oath to tell their respective sides of the alleged sexual assault and answer questions. Let’s also point out that this was more of a job interview for him. Even though the coward Republicans already had in their mind made up and he was going to be confirmed regardless of any accusations and any proof that may be laid before them. They didn’t care. However, this was the day that the joke was all on us. Dr. Blasey-Ford gave a compelling, heartfelt and credible testimony; despite not wanting to go public and dealing with death threats. (Yes Trump…your fans are saints)Oh yeah…did I mention that she was being questioned (interrogated) by a hired female prosecutor because the cowards on the Repub side didn’t want to show their true colors and appear to be to hard even though they already had and still continue to. Yet, she was poised and professional. I’m not going to get into her testimony because it’s too sad to even speak on again. I do however want to point out that why she was testifying the Republican’s on the Senate Judiciary Committee were seen rolling their eyes, looking bored as ever, fidgeting, turning around and talking to some from their staff, among other things. So they had no shame showing that they could care less about what she had to say. They don’t even try to pretend anymore. They know that they don’t have to. But boy did they wake up after Kavanaugh got up there.

So onto Kavanaugh and his antics which spoke volumes about who he truly is. He was mainly pissed off because he was being accused of something and actually having to defend himself. You know that’s something that in his 50 plus years on this earth he’s never had to do. Now I will admit that I wanted to give him a slight benefit of the doubt. I say this, not because I believe he didn’t do it because I do feel he’s guilty. However, I did want to give him some lead way because I was thinking for one…yes it was a long time ago. I mean I’ve been out of high school for 20 going on 21 years and I can’t remember every detail or every party that I attended. Yes…there are things that stick out, but I truly don’t remember everything, especially if it was something that I did all of the time (keep that in mind), or if it was something devastating that didn’t actually happen to me. It seems that Kavanaugh did a lot of partying and drinking. Many people who actually know him very well have confirmed that he would drink so much to the point where he wouldn’t remember things he did the next day. He was very aggressive when drinking which was something that he did very often. Because of that…ok…it’s possible that he may not actually remember. However, he showed not one ounce of humility. Now look, just because you worked out with Mark, Tommy, Squi and PJ and whoever else, had “skis” after lifting weights…or because 60 women who you know say that you’re this sensitive man who respects women; that doesn’t mean that you didn’t do anything. Everyone doesn’t assault everybody they come across. Every murderer doesn’t kill everyone they encounter. Stop it! That choir boy act was pathetic and just plain ol’ tired. He didn’t take accountability for ANYTHING! It was obvious that he lied, denied, avoided answering questions, would in turn question them (the democratic members of the Judiciary committee)…oh, and did I mention that he LIED. Being the “good, virginal, choir boy that he portrayed himself to be, he at least could’ve said something like, “I’m sorry that happened to her, but I seriously don’t remember that night or the party in question.” Instead he denied even knowing her…LIE. In the beginning he even denied drinking…LIE. He lied about the slang and inside jokes between he and his friends. All of his lies that he told under oath should’ve been enough for him to disqualified…however the times we’re in…it’s okay for certain people to lie and to deceive. Instead of humbling himself…he had the arrogance and the gull to just completely show his ass. He acted like himself…an ignorant, spoiled, privileged, entitled ass because he knew that he was going to get away with it. He knows in his heart that this position is owed to him for some reason that I will never understand. No sir…no one believes that you could ever be an angry drunk! (sarcasm) If anyone came into his courtroom and acted like he did…they would’ve been thrown in contempt with the quickness. Let that have been a woman, a black person, a queer person, hispanic, muslim yelling like that. So now the narrative is privileged white men are the victims and should be scared for their lives. He yelled, cried, showed how bipartisan he truly is, was disrespectful and of course…played the victim. I honestly believe that he had been drinking all damn day and was twisted by the time he got up there. That’s where a majority of that anger and aggression came from. I noticed he was slurring his words and was rather dehydrated, hence all of that water that was consumed which in turn caused all of those potty breaks. All signs that I’ve been getting my drink ON! And did y’all see his wife. Baby…she was playing her part wasn’t she? That’s all I’m going to say about her. And can we talk about how the female prosecutor that the Republican’s hired became missing after only asking Kavanaugh two questions. Sis was pretty much fired, because they obviously didn’t like how he was answering her questions. It was about to be even more of a disaster. He didn’t think that he had to answer to anything because he never has had to. But did it even matter? Once she was gone…it was really showtime! The dramatics were on 1000!!!

Throughout this entire ordeal the Republican’s have really shown their true colors. People are shocked at Sis Lindsey Graham who has been queening out since his good friend Senator John McCain passed away and really showed his ass. She’s obviously auditioning for a role on Trump’s reality show. Being who she’s always been. The truth is…there’s no such thing as a good, decent Republican in our current congress. They’ve completely adapted to Trump’s rhetoric and have seem to have done it with complete and utter ease. This is because they’ve always felt this way. They know exactly what they’re doing. Orin Hatch and Chuck Grassley are two old, racist farts that are set in their ways. Hell…Grassley said that it’s too much work on the Senate Judiciary Committee for women and that’s why the Repubs don’t have any. So that’s where he’s at! Now remember…we wouldn’t even be here if Mitch McConnell and his frog looking, shady ass wouldn’t have made up that bullshit, fake rule while President Obama was still PRESIDENT for another 100 plus days. Talking about he wasn’t able to nominate a Supreme Court Justice during an election year and his last year in office. Excuse me? Since when? Judge Merrick Garland should be on the Supreme Court right now. The Republicans actually like and “respect” Judge Garland, but not enough to do the right thing for the country. Even going as far to admit that they would keep that seat open for years until they get a Republican President to appoint a conservative to the Supreme Court. Shameful!

It’s sad that so many highly successful and respected attorneys, judges, the national bar association and even a retired Supreme Court justice said that Kavanaugh was too unfit to sit on the court. This is far from over. People are hurt, devastated and pissed off by the actions of our congress. Shit…they’ve been protesting since the day after the election in 2016. Many are now seeing what black people have been experiencing and saying for years about our government and justice system. So what happens next? Are we going to vote against these fools and get them out of office? Let this marinate…we have on the United States Supreme Court two Supreme Court justices, both of which are “Republican conservatives” and were both accused of sexual assault, acted asses in front of the judiciary committee and at the end of the day were still confirmed for lifetime appointments on the bench. This is the state of our country right now. This is reality. But I guess we can’t expect much seeing what we have in the White House and who he’s surrounded himself with.

These entitled white folks who may or may not believe Kavanaugh are of course sticking up for him. The only thing they wanted was to get a conservative on the bench. This for them solely was about white, elite, rich men feeling like one of their own being accused of ANYTHING and having to defend himself is just the worse thing ever. They aren’t used to this, nor are they built for this. The scariest thing for them was that these white men saw themselves in Kavanaugh and white women who sympathize with him saw their son’s in him. Most of these men were rich, entitled frat boys who have skated through life and have had nothing but success. Kavanaugh fits that mold. He is a man of privilege, everything in his life appeared to be perfect, handed to him and worked out in his favor. Yet…he’s still the victim and just a young man (the orange devil’s words…not mine) who has to actually fight for something. It’s terrifying for them. So now according to the punk ass repubs…the women and men who are and have actually been victims of assault are now an angry mob; but people at his rally’s who spew hate and violence, those fools in Charlottesville, people who attack online on his behalf are passionate people. Oh…okay.  

There’s going to be this huge cloud following Kavanaugh and the Republican’s around for the rest of their lives. And you know what…I really don’t think that they even care. At the end of the day they got what they want and that’s all that matters to them. Brett Kavanaugh is now Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. No matter how they had to do it…it was done. Kavanaugh is also the poster boy for the “oppressed white male” in America. That doesn’t even sound like a real thing…because it’s not. I couldn’t even type that with a straight face. No matter how they offended all of these sexual assault victims and just about everyone in this country who still has some decency left in them; they see nothing wrong with their actions. They have no heart and no conscious. Their behavior was just absolutely disgusting. We’re seriously in a messed up time. It’s so sad to see how one man has led the way to destroy this country. All I can say is what I’ve been saying and what I’m going to continue to say; I can’t say it enough…PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE!!! PLEASE!!!
