Not only did I get deleted…I got blocked

I feel like having a petty moment. I think most of us can agree that there’s a difference between being petty and being pathetic. And this right here…is pretty pathetic. So let me fill you in on what happened. A few years ago, I was playing around with the idea of doing a podcast. I mentioned from time to time in certain social media posts that I was toying with the idea. Back then, I had a lot going on…mainly my health and put it to the back burner. I told myself that I would revisit the idea after I had my surgery and healed. However, a couple of months after I first mentioned wanting to start a podcast someone reached out to me and said they were interested in doing a podcast with me. They had the studio and everything and all I would have to do is show up. I was all for it because then I wouldn’t have to buy any equipment right away and just bring my charming, witty self to the studio and do what I do. Mind you…upfront, I let this person know that I wasn’t ready to do it right now, but I would like to discuss everything to make sure that it’s the right fit. They were understanding and we set up a time to meet. That day came and they let me know that they forgot and were out of town. STRIKE 1! The second time we were to meet it was after my grandmother was in a bad car accident and I was at home taking care of her that particular evening. Of course…you know with people who are just SO BUSY (sarcasm) only their time is valuable. Oh yeah…and of course, they called me about 30 minutes before they wanted to meet. I told them that I couldn’t meet at that time and if we could do it tomorrow. I never heard anything back. STRIKE 2 and STRIKE 3! Homie…you are OUT!

So let’s fast forward almost a year later and during this time I had my surgery and was healing. I still was not feeling 100 percent but I had started putting together MY OWN SHOW behind the scenes because that was my intention in the first place…doing a podcast myself. I’m a Sagittarius…I can and will do shit on my own and don’t wait on anyone else’s bullshit! During all of this time, I had not heard from this person, and of course, I did not reach back out to them because I was left hanging when I asked you almost a year ago did you want to meet tomorrow and I got nothing but crickets. So I invested MY OWN money in studio equipment, promotion, branding, streaming, hosting…and not only my money but my time as well. And guess what…I started a successful podcast…ON MY OWN.

So now let’s venture to the present and give you the tea on how I found out I was blocked. Honestly…I had completely forgotten about this person until last week. They must have commented on a mutual Facebook friend’s post. I saw they had tagged them in their status but the name wasn’t in bold as to where I could tap the name and go to their page. I thought…hmmm…that’s weird 🤔. So then they must have commented back on said friend’s post and either my FB friend was talking to themself and having a wonderful conversation, or I AM BLOCKED HUNNY! Now, what did I do? 🤷🏽‍♀️Why did I get blocked? LMAO! I thought the shit was hilarious when I figured it out. People are so insecure and childish. I mean…I’m very childish but in a good way…I’m just sayin! I know I’m not the only person who has been blocked because of someone else’s insecurities and not wanting to see you advance without them. Bye sis! And you know me…sis doesn’t necessarily mean they are female…CATCH THAT! So anyway…I just thought that was a funny story to share.
