I’m a vegetarian… not necessarily by choice though
Only a handful of people know what I have been through health-wise over the past couple of months. It’s been a lot and I will open up about it one day, but right now I am not ready. Hell…it’s still a lot to comprehend. Just know that I am good right now, not out of the woods completely, but I am good…if that makes any sense. Even though I have been living a healthier lifestyle over the past few years, I have decided to take on a completely new lifestyle. Yes, I am now a vegetarian. As of today, I have not had any meat in 6 days. Honestly…I feel so much better. Not only do I feel lighter (not talking about weight wise), but everything feels clear. This wasn’t something that I ever really wanted to do…or become. So why? Why now? Well…why not? Over the past few months, I have not been eating much meat. Every time I would eat any type of meat, including fish, I would feel terrible after eating it. It felt like it sat on my stomach for days. Not only that, but it got to the point where the taste, texture, and even the smell of meat being cooked made me nauseous.
Mentally I needed this as well. Food can be poison to you mentally and physically; clean eating does help out too. When you go through some BS, you look for everything to try and become healthier. I thought this change would drive me crazy, but I have been enjoying it. I still eat what I want, just without meat. I am now trying out different meat substitutes. “Beyond Meat” products seem to be the best, but the ones that I have tried have all been great. If you season it up right; I honestly can’t tell. Of course, I have faced judgment and criticism over MY GROWN ASS DECISION and what has been best for me and to those I say…your mama!:-) But seriously, this is still new to me and who knows if I will keep it up. Right now, I am doing what is best for me.
