Dear Kanye West…

February 21, 2016 0 By Tahir Ali

This isn’t my typical letter, the title just seemed fitting. Now believe it or not, I’m not going to go too hard on Kanye West in this post because I truly believe he has some serious mental issues and needs help so this will be a semi-lightweight read! Like many of us in the African-American community he won’t go and get the help that he needs. Leaving us left to deal with our demons in an unhealthy way. Quick to blame it on the devil! Oh yeah….and the illuminati. (Side-eye) For starters, he’s never got over the unexpected death of his mother which I can’t even begin to imagine dealing with that. Over the last past couple of years it’s apparent that he also hasn’t got over his break-up with Amber Rose. That must explain why he feels the need to bring her up every single opportunity that he can. I’ve always said that Kanye is one of those people who is too smart for their own good. I definitely fall into this category to a point. We’re the type of people who have so many thoughts and ideas running around in our heads and want to do everything at once. The thing is…it’s impossible and drives us crazy. We just want our thoughts and ideas to be understood and acknowledged by people. This is why for years I understood Kanye’s rants and crazy ideas, however……girl! This is some new shit that I’ve never thought that I would see. So many things he says makes sense, but it’s the delivery mixed with a lot of hypocrisy (we’ll get on that later) and the shit usually comes out of left field that makes people look at your ass crazy.

Kanye!!! I rooted for you when you went toe to toe against 50 Cent when y’all were releasing albums in the same day. I rooted for you when Damon Dash thought you were trash. I rooted for you when white people wanted to hang your ass after sayin “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” on national TV and stage stealing in Taor Swift’s ass! I actually applauded those last two…I was there for you! But this shit you are doing these days is completely unacceptable! In Kanye’s mind he thinks that he’s the greatest to ever roc the mic. Now Kanye, you’ve had some big hits and you have proven over time to be an amazing producer. However, you are by far not the greatest MC or producer in the history of hip-hop or music period like you want to believe. Therefore, quit trying to convince everyone that you are. Most of us are smart of us to realize it’s BS. And quit sending the Kardashian’s to deliver these messages of grander on your behalf too because NO ONE pays attention to them like you think people do. Most of the us with any sense of self-respect haven’t put them on a pedestal like you have. Sorry..back to the music…at the end of the day, you haven’t been consistent with good material. I for one appreciate creativity but you failed a few times on that end. Now, I will admit that “The Life of Pablo” is an amazing piece of work and I can’t stop listening to it. That still doesn’t mean you’re the greatest sis! Another reason people aren’t seeing it for you is because you have proved to be a hypocrite so many times that no ones takes you seriously. Remember when you clowned T-Pain and auto tune then turned around and made auto tune your life on a couple of albums and guest appearances on other artists songs. Next, you speak on education, books, medicine and other things that make the world go round being way too expensive and should be cheaper (which I’m sure most of us can agree with). Yet, you turn around and sell material things such as your ugly ass shoes and walking dead fashion line for hundreds of thousands of dollars. So all of my money should go to you and not anything that helps better myself or can cure the flu. Bye girl! You want everyone including Mark Zuckerberg (which…sis…really) to invest in you. I was just waiting on you to hop your ass on that Grammy stage and beg for money. I promise I was, and I would’ve got every inch of my life! Kanye is in (business) debt (or whatever you want to call it) because he’s wants us all to dress like him and do everything else like him…no seriously. Just think about it. He basically says we ain’t shit for not buying his slave clothes, we don’t support him because we’re not buying into his ideas and making us believe he is the greatest MC ever. Okay…I may be reaching but if it’s not a control thing, it’s definitely something. I mean…it worked for Kim to be controlled by his ass so why not. Am I reaching? Maybe…maybe not!

The Twitter rants have done nothing but prove to the entire world that you are completely unstable. While they’re extremely entertaining, at the same time in reality, they’re very sad. It has also shown that you’re all bark and no bite. You go off on any and everyone; you have shown that you’re the leader of Keyboard Gangsters United but when someone gets your ass together you back track and start deleting shit. No one takes that serious and just laughs at your ass. It will go down in history how Amber Rose got your ass together in ONE TWEET! I LIVED!!!!! People are now starting to record your verbal blow-ups (hence the recent SNL rehearsal). People close to you are saying that you need help. Well, everyone close to you except your wife and in-laws. They talk about everything else why not this. They don’t have to say what’s going on with him, we really don’t need to know exactly what’s going on. It needs to be acknowledged that he needs help. All they do is feed into his BS especially Michael Corleone himself…Khloe Kardashian. Even though Kanye is a grown man and is responsible for his own actions, I blame The Kardashian’s because he really lost his mind when he joined that cult. Something isn’t right in their little part of Calabasas. Kanye truly believes he’s going to change the world with his ideas and that’s amazing, but from what’s presented to us via twitter rant number 1,009 it seems to benefit no one but himself. So in closing let’s just continue to pray for Kanye and hope he deals with whatever he’s going through in a positive way. I hope he does and soon. If for any reason at least for the sake of his children.
