Who’s really the racist?

I was going to do a series of post on Facebook to address this reverse racism issue that is really becoming quite old. I’m sick of talking about race period but the reality of the situation is that racism is here and obviously not going anywhere. Some people appear to be confused with who and what a racist is and like to throw this word around freely. With Trump’s bitchass fueling the fires of these fools out here by saying EVERYTHING that they’ve been dying to say out in the open for years; it’s making racism seem like the norm again. Piers Morgan with his racist trolling ass got me started this morning for his bullshit remarks about the late great Muhammad Ali calling him a racist…and then had the fuckin audacity to say that Ali said worse things than Trump. Really? First of all, look back on what Ali was speaking on and what year’s he was saying these things in and what was going on. Black people were getting lynched, civil rights were being fought, white people were calling black people niggers to their face, after winning the gold medal for HIS country he still wasn’t ‘allowed’ to go to certain restaurants, hotels, etc…and SO MUCH MORE. Those of us who weren’t alive at that time couldn’t even fathom what was going on in the mind of black people; especially a white person. And you still can’t today. The problem isn’t thinking that Ali was a racist, what the real issue is; how dare this black man have pride and speak out against us so openly and direct. That’s what it’s really about. That’s the issue. And still…until this day if anyone of color speaks out about obvious injustices against…then we’re a racist. Good bye. It doesn’t work that way. Sorry it just doesn’t. It’s funny how racist like to call black people racist when the truth is put out there. How dare we!

The definition of a racist is a person who believes that a particular race is superior to anotherJust by the definition alone it’s obvious black people CAN’T be racist. So stop saying black people are racist! When have we been viewed as superior to anyone. What…since there’s a black family in the white house. Please…don’t flatter yourself. No where in the definition of racist does it say calling out obvious injustices and speaking out when we have been treated wrong. That doesn’t make you racist. That makes you conscious. That makes you aware. Racist people are always the first ones to call everyone ELSE racist and the first to deny that they’re a racist. We know that racist are all over and that’s one of the reasons why we as black people are so on guard and not trusting shit out here because we know it can be our co-workers, law enforcement, teachers, administrators, CEO’s, doctors, etc. Why do you think the klan wears those ugly ass hoods? Didn’t want people to know that they were just ‘regular everyday people.’ Maybe not as much today because some just don’t give a damn anymore. No shame! Not even hiding behind fake profile pictures on social media anymore. Just say whatever when they feel safe. And please stop comparing the klan’s bitchass to the Black Panthers. They aren’t even close to being the same thing. Educate yourself before you start comparing because you sound desperate. But that’s what happens. When we call a racist out on their shit…they will TRY to flip it and bring up something “black” to compare it to. It’s just not the same thing and never will be.

No one wants any handouts, no one wants sympathy. But dealing with the same bullshit for hundreds of years gets a little exhausting. We’re trying to fight the same fight and it falls on deaf ears. Someone like me is finally starting to realize that nothing will change; especially when many still don’t believe that there’s a problem in the first place, or shift blame. Everything in the world isn’t black and white (no pun intended), and you would know that if you faced actual and real racism day in and day out because we do. But when we call it out, we’re told to stop crying and complaining. No one should have to conform (any race) to the way someone with a superiority complex feels they should be in society when you don’t know what that person goes through day in and day out. If you haven’t faced any type of blatant racism to your face or your ancestors didn’t go through bullshit because another race had and still has a superiority complex…please don’t cry racism because that makes YOU look……….racist. You don’t know what it is to hear your grandparents and great-grandparents tell stories of not being able to go to certain parts in this city because of their skin color. Or not being able to use a particular restroom if they went to school with white people, or sit in the back of the classroom or lunchroom as children because they’re black. And you all think it’s better now. NOPE! it’s just disguised with other words and/or treatment. Shit till happens today, don’t let the year fool you. We still get looks like, “why are you here?” I’ve purposely avoided attending certain functions with my white friends because I know that I’m not welcome. And if anyone says anything slick, then I’m going to jail. It’s that simple!
Yes there’s a chip on our shoulders. Yes we’re tired of continuing to fight a losing battle. Yes we want to break shit sometimes; especially when no one’s listening and we get blamed for the bad shit that happens to us. Do people in every race have some prejudice in them…of course. I know for a fact that I do. Do I think ALL white people are racist…hell no…definitely not! Besides…the one’s that are make it so obvious anyway. We aren’t as stupid as you think we are and just because we may not speak out all of the time…don’t think we don’t notice the little racist comments disguised with a “I’m not racist!” I know a racist won’t change because they are who they are and that’s fine. You are who you are…however don’t bring me into your racist bullshit. Keep that title on your own.
