Dear Kanye West…..
You know what…nevermind…I was going to write Kanye a “dear letter;” seeing how I haven’t written one in a while and I felt that he may need a strong one. Instead I think that I will just address this situation as I see it head on. From MY POINT OF VIEW! The reason why I feel that I need to address this is because as someone with a diagnosed mental illness, I can relate a little to his random outburst as well as see his faults. With these new fangled celebrities you never know if they’re doing something for attention or because they’re that detached from reality in their little bubbles that they just have no clue what’s going on in the real world and most likely don’t care. However, this is not the case for Kanye West. I truly believe that he knows exactly what he’s doing. We all know that Kanye has always been VERY outspoken. That was one of the things that I really loved about him. This isn’t about being outspoken, it’s not about being a Trump supporter, this isn’t about just talking out the side of your neck. This is about a continuous cycle of bullshit that Kanye has said and done over recent years at the expense of the black community. We have continuously given this fool pass after pass; made excuse after excuse; but this shit is beyond out of control. I’m not going to go as deep as I want to, but I’m going to address it.
Kanye West in the beginning was this outspoken, talented voice for the community. One of the best producers in the game. Did I mention just ridiculously talented?!! A breath of fresh air when hip-hop seemed to be heading towards a style of bragging on material wealth and other nonsense than what it’s origins were meant for. And let’s just keep it real…once he became a Kardashian…this all changed. That’s just a fact. Now he has put himself on this entitled pedestal that he’s made for himself. He feels that WE (black people) owe it to HIM to support everything he does. I’m not supporting these expensive ass “The Walking Dead” clothes he calls fashion. I’m not supporting those ugly ass Adidas Yeezy’s that cost almost as much as my car payment. I’m not supporting music that I can’t relate to or enjoy just because he feels that we should solely based on the fact that he put it out. Who does he think he is? You got the RIGHT ones for this wake up call sis! Quit calling out President Obama saying that he never did anything for Chicago. Actually he has…and he still is. What have you done. That’s the oldest excuse in the book for Trump supporting black folks. You call Calabases your home town. I haven’t heard you mention anything about Chicago. And may I ask…what is that orange troll going to do for Chicago? I’ll wait!
We all know that he became worse mentally over the years after his mother’s unexpected, tragic and devastating passing. Let’s not act like he’s always been sane. However, like a lot of people…especially black people; (let’s just call a thing a thing)…he has not seeked the proper help for all of these issues he has; especially losing your mother anyway, but especially that way. He has even admitted to not seeking help. He says he just became a workaholic to deal with it. That’s not a healthy cure for this. Instead of getting help…what does he do? He deflects his own unresolved issues onto the people (his day one fans) who have been there and actually want him to succeed. You continuously keep pissing on the very people who have supported you in all of this craziness and unstable behavior. Even with those ugly ass, expensive clothes and shoes…I still wanted him to succeed because I’m a true fan. Instead…what does he do? He blames us for not buying his clothes, not buying his shoes, not supporting his music, not supporting him during his opioid addiction. Let’s stop right there. Sis…no one knew that you were addicted to anything. I’m sure that we could figure it out, but no one knew. Jay-Z and Beyoncé did the right thing by distancing themselves from you. The way you dogged them in public over and over again; then expect for them to run by your side. NOPE! No ma’am!
Dear Kardashians! I really hope that behind the scenes Kim is helping her husband with these issues that he has. I know it has to be a lot, especially with three children under the age of six who actually need care and guidance. Kanye I’m sure is more to deal with than the three of them put together. I’m hoping that it’s just damage control with her tweeting things out like he’s okay and basically saying that there’s not a problem, he doesn’t have a problem and people need to stop saying that he has mental issues, mental breakdowns; blah blah blah. If you’re in denial yourself and actually believe everything that you’re saying, this is not helping him. And if you’re not calling him out on his stuff then you’re not helping him, Kim and the rest of the family is as complicit in this behavior. If you all really care about him and love him…get him help.
I for one am no longer supporting anything that Kanye does. Even this album he’s producing from my favorite MC, Nas. I can’t and I won’t. You’ve become everything that you rapped about in you “Golddigger” song. EVERY SINGLE WORD! Another of your lines…”I forgot where I came from…” comes to mind as well. You’ve turned your back on us…the black community for the last time. You’ve also made it plain and clear that you feel that you don’t need us anymore. So keep your ass in Calabasas…where they wouldn’t even want you living there if you weren’t Kanye West; married to a Kardashian or not. You think that you’re better than us in many ways, but especially since you became a Kardashian. If Kim ever wises up and divorces your ass…I’m afraid of what you will do. Some people are saying that you’re trolling the black community. I don’t think you are, but if that’s true…you truly deserve all of this backlash you’re getting. How dare you! Now…I don’t even care if you get yourself together or not. You can’t constantly turn your back on black people and think everything’s going to okay. I’m done!
